Because many of the titles have been translated from their original languages, a helpful search strategy would be to employ as many different spelling variations as possible in your search criteria. For example, when searching for books by Euclid, the alternate spelling "Euclides" should also be used. In addition, often in Latin spelling, the letter pairings U and V and I and J are interchangeable. Therefore, alternate spellings substituting one letter for its companion would return the most hits. For example, "Institutium" should be spelled as "Institvtivm," etc.
