A Century in the Making is a documentary film resulting from Dickinson College's first International Mosaic in January 2001. The film is a collaboration of oral histories and footage of the community that was captured on our journey. Attempting to portray how this unique multi-ethnic community was formed, the film focuses on immigration, work experience, family and community life as well as aspirations for the future. Unfortunately we were unable to include all of the generous narrators we met on our trip, but the five interviews chosen cover all of these topics. Since everyone we met could not be included on the film, the introduction features a mosaic of faces capturing many of the people that touched our lives and who shared their stories with us. The primary
purpose of this film was to give something back to all of the amazing people
we met in Comodoro Rivadavia, who gave so much to us not only by sharing
their life histories, but by sharing their culture. This is our way of
expressing our gratitude. We can only hope they enjoy this film as much
as we have enjoyed making the film for them. To all of the people in Comodoro
who opened their houses and lives to us, it is to you we dedicate this
film.
